Amy Klochubar is a Senator from Minnesota. Her strategy, today, appears to be distancing herself more left wing candidates, from the coasts, such as Warren, Harris, Sanders, and Booker. Her goal here, might be to distance herself as a moderate Democrat, more in the middle.

On March 2, 2020, Amy Klochubar announced she was withdrawing from the 2020 Presidential Race.  She has stated she is throwing her support behind Joe Biden.

Presently, 190411, while researching Amy it was hard to find policy descriptions. Most of press is focusing on her tax return release. And how she is a tough person to work for.

• Health Care – She has not signed onto Medicare for All yet. But she does support Universal Health Care for all which includes a public option for people to opt into government-run plans.
• Defense –
• Infrastructure – She proposes a $1Trillion infrastructure plan. To pay for it she plans to raise the corporate tax from 21% to 25%.
• Immigration – She has been critical of Donald Trump weaponizing and politicizing the issue of immigration. She has supported reforming, not abolishing ICE. Klobuchar has stated, “We are always going to need immigration enforcement, I think we know that. We are a major country with major borders.”
• Trade – In 2015 she wanted action from Obama to prevent steel dumping. In 2006 she stated she wanted fair trade, not free trade. Most of her trade statements are pre-2010.
• Website – Presently, 190411, empty of any policy statements.

• Verdict – At least she is candidate that appears to an older school democrat that may be out of touch with where the Democrat party pendulum has been swinging, but she may appeal to a larger group of center Dems and Republicans. And of course, the pendulum may swing back down the road.
