Beto O’Rourke
– Beto came to national prominence in the 2016 election in which he
almost beat the incumbent, Ted Cruz for the Texas Senatorial slot,
missing by 2.6%.  He was House Representative for Texas 16^th district.  However, during his time in Congress he sponsored no legislation. 

• He has promised to tear down the existing 700 miles of Border Wall along the 1,933 miles of the US/Mexico border. The costs to tear down the existing structure is unknown.
• In January, when asked what the United States should do about visa overstays, former Rep. Beto O’Rourke answered, “I don’t know,” despite having represented a border district for six years.
• He has a cult like following, but nobody seems to know his views, however, he has stated he is “compassionate”.
• As time goes forward he needs to describe his views on subjects other than free stuff for everybody.
• He raised $6.1 million dollars on his first day, topping the last elections superstar, Bernie Sanders.
• He wants Universal High Quality Medicare for everybody. His plan is somewhat different than Bernie’s
• A review of his WEB site, on 22-mar-19, requires registering an email address.  So, I didn’t find any policy descriptions there.

• VERDICT:  Today, a good looking, empty vessel.  Compassion and good looks may go a long way for the female vote.   However, I’m looking for Trade, Defense, and budget priorities laid out.
